Lindsey Delgado-Harris (they/them/she) offers equine assisted psychotherapy at Chastain Horse Park in Atlanta.

Lindsey Delgado-Harris holds a Master of Social Work, MSW, from University of Georgia Gwinnett and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia State University. In addition to offering equine assisted psychotherapy at Chastain Horse Park, Lindsey offers traditional psychotherapy virtually and through nature walk and talk therapy. Lindsey is under the Supervision of Ashley Moorhead Skidmore (License GACSW004895) and the Direction of Kelly Stephens, LMFT.

Lindsey specializes in treating trauma, anxiety, codependency and mood disorders. Their work is informed by the therapeutic models of Acceptance and Commitment (ACT)Dialectical Behavior (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Lindsey enjoys working with all clients including LGBTQ+, creating a welcoming and affirming environment for individuals of all backgrounds and experiences. They strive to offer compassionate support as clients explore their identities and navigate life challenges.

Lindsey has been leading equine assisted therapy groups at Chastain Horse Park for the past three years, designing customized equine assisted learning and psychotherapy curriculum. They are certified by PATH International as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL)and are an active member of the PATH International organization. They are continuing their education in the Natural Lifemanship program.

In addition to holding a Master of Social Work (MSW),  Lindsey holds a PATH International Equine Assisted Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) certification.

PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) is a well respected international organizations with therapeutic models that incorporate horses into mental health treatment and require professional standards for certification. Chastain Horse Park has earned the level of a premier accredited PATH facility, and all equine-specialist staff members hold PATH certifications.

PATH International is a nonprofit professional associations who is a leader in equine-assisted psychotherapy training, certification, and empirically supported therapeutic models.
